Historical Alpenhof
The Alpenhof Lodge has had a diverse history since its inception. While originally constructed to house employees of Seven Springs Ski Resort, it became a swingers’ party lodge known as Club Aquarius in the ‘70s. It wasn’t until the early ‘80s that the name was changed to Alpenhof Lodge and began operating as a restaurant that also offered lodging.
If you ask around, you will find the mountain is full of interesting stories and memorable experiences stemming from parties at The Alpenhof. One such story from the ‘80s recalls the time Hugh Hefner stopped by with his Playboy Bunny companion while on a ski trip.Mr. Hof purchased The Alpenhof Lodge in February of 2011. Since that time, the lodge has been completely reconstructed and continues to evolve each year.
The Alpenhof is an exceptionally special place for all that have spent time there. In fact, you could say this is our mission statement.
